Cohort sponsors Royal British Legion Centenary Cookbook

18 May 2021

We are delighted to let you know that Cohort is supporting the commemorative fund-raising Cookbook, launching today, which has been released to celebrate the Royal British Legion Centenary.

It has been created as a unique way of highlighting the contribution made by the Royal British Legion and by the British Armed Forces over the years. Written by serving military personnel and veterans, and supported in its creation by organisations like Cohort, it marks the centenary by celebrating 100 regions around the world where the RBL has operated.  There are delicious recipes from celebrities and well-known chefs, as well as profiles of regional heroes whose valour, conduct and commitment is remembered.

Cohort’s editorial contribution in the Cookbook highlights the Armed Forces Covenant and the Covenants’ Defence Employers Recognition Scheme, for which MASS and SEA hold Silver Awards.  It also features Rob Jones from MASS and Shane Knight from MCL talking about how the Cohort Group supports and welcomes ex-Services employees.   Andy has written about this in his latest blog which you can read here: https://www.cohortplc.com/news/blog

Established in 1921, the RBL is the UK’s largest Armed Forces charity. Best known for organising the annual Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day services, the RBL works to support current and ex-service personnel as well as their families.

The RBL are currently offering the Cookbook at a reduced price through the Mail on Sunday - Log onto https://stjamess.org/product/cooking-with-heroes/ to get it for a £5 donation and P&P.  Cohort will match fund the £5 donation on all copies purchased this way as a donation to the RBL – email lvenables@cohortplc.com with your order confirmation to register your donation for match funding.  This is a limited time and quantity offer so get your orders in quickly!
