MCL awarded Airborne Tactical Communications Support Contract

Marlborough Communications Ltd (MCL) a Cohort plc company and its partner Serbus Ltd, today announces that it has been awarded the UK MOD Airborne Tactical Communications Support Contract.

The contract valued up to £7.7M, is to provide support to specialist communications equipment used predominantly in the airborne environment and includes options covering additional development activities. The duration of the contract will be between two and six years, with a minimum value of around £0.9m, depending on the options chosen by the customer. 

The contract will consist of but not be limited to a core element supporting equipment safety, obsolescence, risk, configuration, quality, airworthiness, reporting, record/documentation management, assurance, security. There will be an element of the contract consisting of ad-hoc tasking in the form of but not limited to, repair, certification, modification, design/re-design, manufacture. The support of this equipment shall enable the operational use of airborne tactical communications across a number of air platforms.

Due to the nature of how this equipment is used, and how the capability could evolve through future requirements, it is required that the successful contractor can react and deliver at pace to the required standards.
