HF Frequency Management
Marlborough Communications Limited provides a full range of HF Frequency Management equipment - Chirpsounder® - including Transceivers, Receivers and Transmitters. Systems may be supplied rack mountable, containerised or man-portable.
The Chirpsounder® series of equipment measures the primary variable factors in HF communications and provides a complete measurement of propagation parameters including received power, modes and multipath. This data is then processed to give specific recommendations to the radio operators for selecting the best operating frequencies for communications within the HF band.
The benefits of Chirpsounder® have proved invaluable to the military and hence has been deployed in many strategic and tactical environments for land troops, surface & sub-surface fleet and airborne applications. A network of Chirpsounders exists in many communication centres worldwide.
Complementing the range of radio equipment are a host of accessories; power amplifiers, power supplies & battery packs, antenna and antenna tuning units. Virtual Control Panel (VCP) software is also available, for ease of operation, to remotely control the functionality of the system from a single laptop computer.
